Billionaire businessman and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has visited President Bola Tinubu alongside his son, Isyaku Abdulsamad Khalifa, to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day.

Rabiu shared pictures from the visit on his X account on Friday, saying he was honoured to once again meet the President and extend his wishes to him on the occasion.

“Honoured to once again visit His Excellency, the President, with Khalifa, and to extend our warm wishes on the occasion of Nigeria’s Independence Day,” he said.

Rabiu said the occasion provided an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey and look ahead to the country’s future.

“It is always a pleasure to share such moments as we reflect on our nation’s journey and look forward with hope to the future,” he added.

The businessman also congratulated Nigerians in the country and those living abroad.

“Wishing all Nigerians, at home and abroad, a very Happy Independence Day. May our beloved country continue to enjoy peace, unity, progress and prosperity,” he wrote.

Nigeria gained independence from British colonial rule on October 1, 1960.

Nigeria is marking its 66th Independence anniversary in 2026, with October 1 observed annually as a national public holiday to commemorate the country’s independence.
