Germany charges seven men for Hamas terror plot, weapons procurement

By October 2025, the suspects had already acquired over 700 rounds of ammunition, a fully automatic rifle, and 13 pistols for use in the planned attack.

Germany’s federal prosecutor charged seven men accused of being Hamas terrorists on Friday with procuring weapons and planning an attack against the Jewish community and Israel-linked individuals in Germany or Austria.

According to a statement released by the prosecutor, the suspects were tasked by high-ranking Hamas terrorists with gathering weapons and ammunition in preparation for the attack.

The suspects were identified as German national Abed Al G., Danish national Yousif C., Lebanese-born Borhan El-K., Lebanese-born Wael FM, German national Ahmad I., Lebanese-born Kamel M., and Bulgarian national Mohammad S.

At the time of the arrests of Abed Al G., Wael FM, and Ahmad I. in October 2025, the suspects had already acquired over 700 rounds of ammunition, a fully automatic rifle, and 13 pistols for use in the planned attack.

Additional suspect transported, stored weapons for planned attack

An additional suspect who is being prosecuted separately, British national Mohammed A., was involved in transporting the weapons and storing them in Austria.

Mohammed A. also recorded a video ahead of the planned terrorist attack, in which he claimed responsibility and stated that the plot was concocted in the name of Hamas.

According to German authorities, the group had been planning the attack since at least July 2025, and had intended to carry it out around the second anniversary of Hamas’s October 7 massacre against Israel.

All of the suspects, arrested between October 2025 and May 2026, remain in custody.

Mohammed A., who was arrested in November 2025 in the United Kingdom, has not yet been extradited to Germany, according to the prosecutor’s statement.
