GEORGE TOWN, Oct 15 — Indoor adventure park operator Xventure will open its first Malaysian outlet at The Waterfront Shoppes at The Light City, Penang, on October 29, following its expansion into Thailand and Hong Kong.

According to a statement released today, the company has invested RM8 million in the 1,800-square-metre facility, which will feature 11 adventure zones catering to teenagers, adults, families and corporate groups.

Among its main attractions are the eight-metre-tall Challenger Arena, which features a digital tagging system and real-time leaderboard, a 4.5-metre-high Aerial Rope Course and a Gigantic Seesaw designed for group activities.

Xventure, a spin-off from family entertainment operator Kiztopia, combines physical challenges with interactive technology and competitive activities.

Kiztopia Group chief executive officer and co-founder Heidi Tian said Penang was selected for the brand’s Malaysian debut because of its diverse consumer base and growing tourism sector.

“Our ambition is not simply to open another indoor adventure park, but to create a cross-generational leisure destination that brings together physical challenges, interactive technology and social experiences,” she said.

The park will also offer corporate team-building programmes, with plans to introduce HRD Corp-claimable training programmes in the future.

Non-peak two-hour admission starts at RM40 for X-Junior and RM60 for X-Plorer, with ticket categories determined by visitors’ height.

As part of its opening promotion from October 29 to November 1, the first 100 customers purchasing tickets can buy a second ticket for RM1, subject to availability.
