Anele Mdoda’s wedding show coming to Netflix

South African media and radio personality Anele Mdoda will give fans a closer look at her journey to the altar in a new Netflix wedding docu-soap.

Titled Stars & Vows: Anele and Buzza, the upcoming series will follow Mdoda and her husband, Bonelela “Buzza James” Mgudlwa, as they navigate their relationship and married life in the spotlight.

Netflix has confirmed that the series will premiere later in 2026, although the streaming platform has not announced an exact release date.

Dopezuluboi Productions produced the project, which will stream exclusively on Netflix.

According to Netflix, “Stars and Vows: Anele & Buzza | Coming Soon | From a budding romance to bridal bliss under the bright lights of fame, Stars and Vows: Anele & Buzza follows the love story of TV & radio personality Anele Mdoda and Bonelela “Buzza James” Mgudlwa as they navigate the challenges, joy and anticipation on the road to saying “I do.”

“The documentary soap and wedding special is created by Nomzamo Mbatha, Teddy Geldart, Vuyo Sowah and Pet Tasara, and directed by Pascual Wakefield. The series is set to launch on Netflix later this year.”

Anele has also confirmed the project herself, teasing fans about what is coming.

“Okay Guys. You guys are getting the visuals,” she said.

A STAR-STUDDED CREATIVE TEAM

The production brings together several prominent names from South Africa’s entertainment industry.

Actress and producer Nomzamo Mbatha is among the creators, alongside Teddy Geldart, Vuyo Sowah and Pet Tasara. Pascual Wakefield directs the series.

Bright Fire Productions also confirmed the project in a joint post with Anele, describing the production as a celebration of their relationship.
