Translate

Ben Platt (The Politician, The Beauty) and Russell Tovey (Plainclothes, HBO‘s Years and Years) are the latest actors added to the upcoming fifth and final season of the HBO/BBC drama Industry, which is now in production.

Platt will play Matt Crenshaw, a venture capitalist and an early backer of a wellness-tech company. His character is part of a new storyline that involves fellow Season 5 cast additions Zosia Mamet as Carmen Dame, a fitness influencer turned wellness tech founder and CEO, and Dianna Agron as Skip Binksy, CFO of a wellness tech company.

Tovey plays Declan P. Davis, deputy to left-wing politician Nikesh Shah, played by another new cast member, Bally Gill.

Also joining the final season are previously announced Cary Elwes as an investor, Sam Riley as an elusive British businessman, Jessica Brown Findlay as a family friend of Sir Henry Muck, Luke Manley as an execution trader and Eduard Poliakov as a trader.

In Season 4, at the top of their game and living the lives they set out to have as Pierpoint grads, Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) are drawn into a high stakes, globetrotting cat-and-mouse game when a splashy fintech darling bursts onto the London scene. As Yasmin navigates her relationship with tech founder Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington) and Harper is pulled into the orbit of enigmatic executive Whitney Halberstram (Max Minghella), their twisted friendship begins to warp and ignite under the pressure of money, power, and the desire to be on top.

Industry is created, written, and executive produced by Mickey Down & Konrad Kay. The series is a Bad Wolf Production for HBO/BBC and is executive produced by Jane Tranter, Kate Crowther, and Ryan Rasmussen for Bad Wolf; Kathleen McCaffrey for Little Gems; and Rebecca Ferguson for BBC. Directors include Mickey Down & Konrad Kay, Michelle Savill, and Luke Snellin. Writers include Mickey Down & Konrad Kay, and Joseph Charlton.

Platt is repped by Immersive and Untitled Agency, CAA, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Tovey is repped by Independent Talent Group.
