A 30-year-old man was killed and his younger brother was wounded after they were shot by their neighbor, a barangay watchman (tanod), in Malasiqui, Pangasinan.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Friday, the incident occurred outside the victims' home in Barangay Polong.

Police investigation revealed that before the shooting, the 45-year-old suspect had an argument with the younger brother.

The suspect reportedly left the area for a short time and, when he returned, he was armed with a gun. He then opened fire on the two brothers.

One of the victims died, while the other was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities learned that the deceased victim had merely stepped outside his home to buy something and was talking with his brother when the suspect shot them.

Authorities are searching for the suspect, who fled after committing the crime.
