President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met with and congratulated Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua during a gathering in Malacañang held a few days after the first BARMM Parliamentary elections.
The meeting was witnessed by BARMM Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) Minister Jordan Bayam, who also captured the moment on camera.
The other officials present at the gathering include Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr. and Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.
The greeting from President Marcos followed the victory of Macacua and the Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) in the historic first BARMM Parliamentary Elections.
In the polls, the BFP secured 16 party seats, closely trailed by the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) with 15 seats, and the BARMM Grand Coalition (BGC) with 8 seats, alongside other regional parties and district representatives. — BAP, GMA News
