Anwar allocates RM2.5mil for dialysis services at Kelantan mosques

Translate

KOTA BARU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced an allocation of RM2.5 million for selected mosques in Kelantan to serve as dialysis centres.

He said the allocation was made through the Malaysian Waqf Foundation's Dialysis Project, in collaboration with Radicare, to make dialysis services more accessible to the public.

"Dialysis facilities are far away, so we are now using mosques as a base for these services, with an allocation of RM2.5 million.

"The allocation covers several selected mosques in Kelantan," he said at the Sebarkan Salam and Kota Bharu Berselawat event at Dataran Muhammadi here.

Also present were Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan.

Anwar also announced an allocation of RM645,000 for water waqf projects and solar installations at several mosques in Kelantan.

He said this was because some mosques faced water supply and electricity problems.
