Abbi Jacobson Signs With Anonymous Content (Exclusive)

Translate

Abbi Jacobson, co-creator and star of Broad City and A League of Their Own, has signed with Anonymous Content.

The production and management firm will represent the Emmy-nominated actress, writer and producer. Most recently, Jacobson appeared opposite Lisa Kudrow in the third and final season of HBO’s The Comeback, which bowed in March 2026.

Jacobson also starred alongside Kudrow, Ray Romano, Linda Cardellini and Poppy Liu in the Netflix dark comedy No Good Deed. She is best known for co-creating, writing, executive producing and starring in Comedy Central’s Broad City alongside Ilana Glazer. Launched as an indie web series, the show was eventually picked up by Comedy Central, with Amy Poehler executive producing.

Premiering in 2014, Broad City ran for five seasons through 2019, and centered on best friends Abbi Abrams and Ilana Wexler as they navigated work, relationships and life in New York City. For her work on Broad City and its digital companion series Hack into Broad City, Jacobson received four Emmy nominations, including outstanding actress in a short form comedy or drama series in 2019 and three nominations as an executive producer in the same category in 2016, 2017 and 2019.

Jacobson also co-created along with Will Graham, executive produced and served as co-showrunner and star in Prime Video’s A League of Their Own. She performed the role of Carson Shaw, a catcher who leaves her small-town life behind to join the Rockford Peaches.

On the film side, Jacobson voices the lead character Sarah in Leah Nelson’s hand-drawn animated feature Tangles. After premieres in Cannes and Toronto, IFC and Sapan Studio nabbed the North American distribution rights to Tangles and plan a wide theatrical release in early 2027 after a limited awards season push.

Jacobson’s voice acting credits include Netflix’s animated fantasy comedy Disenchantment, the animated feature The Mitchells Vs. The Machines, and her work also includes appearances in Bojack Horseman, Portlandia and Drunk History.

Away from the cameras, Jacobson is an author and illustrator. Her 2018 book I Might Regret This: Essays, Drawings, Vulnerabilities, and Other Stuff chronicled a solo cross-country road trip through a collection of personal essays and illustrations.

She continues to be represented by UTA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner Auerbach Hynick Jaime LeVine Sample & Klein.
