The Shards ended with a cliffhanger finale that sets up more seasons, as is the plan from Murphy and Ellis, who are hoping for a three-to-four season run. (Read co-star Kaia Gerber talking finale spoilers, here, and a deep dive on the adaptation here.)

Along with Warner and Gerber, The Shards stars Igby Rigney, Homer Gere, Evan Rachel Wood, Wes Bentley, Graham Campbell, Daniel Dale and Jordan Roth.

Told from the point of view of teenager and aspiring writer Bret (Rigney), The Shards follows the high schooler as his reality begins to unravel with the arrival of a mysterious and magnetic new student, Robert Mallory (Gere) and the growing terror of The Trawler, a serial killer targeting teens across the city. Bret’s elite circle consists of Susan Reynolds (Gerber), Debbie Schaffer (Warner) and Thom Wright (Campbell).

The Shards, produced by 20th Television, is executive produced by Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Ellis, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, Tanase Popa, Nick Hall, Michael Uppendahl, Max Winkler, Kathleen McCaffrey and Brian Young.

All nine episodes are now streaming on Hulu. You can pre-save the soundtrack now on Spotify and Apple Music.
