MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte said her camp will avail all the legal remedies amid the grave threats case against her.

On Friday, Duterte appeared before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 98 to be arraigned for the charges, but the arraignment was deferred following a motion by her camp.

“Lahat ng legal remedies na allowed by law ay yun ang ina-avail ng ating mga abogado. Sumusunod lang ako sa kanilang legal advice,” she said in an interview as she left the court.

In response to her remarks, House of Representatives prosecutor and Manila Rep. Joel Chua said Duterte, a lawyer, may be subjected to disciplinary action, including disbarment, over her “sweeping statements.”

Asked for comment on Chua’s pronouncement, Duterte said, “We will take each case as they come and we will answer each complaint as they come.”
