China visit opens opportunities to expand strategic cooperation, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said his recent visit to China provided an avenue for Malaysia to explore and expand strategic cooperation, underpinned by the increasingly close diplomatic ties between the two countries.

In a post on X yesterday, Anwar expressed confidence that Malaysia-China friendship would continue to open up new opportunities in various fields while bringing tangible benefits to the people of both countries.

The post also featured a two-minute-and-57-second video highlighting the Prime Minister's working visit to China, set to the popular Mandarin-language song "Tian Xia", sung by Jason Zhang.

Anwar made the three-day working visit to Shanghai and Hangzhou from Sept 22 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang.

The visit focused on two main agendas, namely attending the WorldSkills Shanghai competition in Shanghai and the Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) in Hangzhou.
