Surfing has officially made its Asian Games debut!
Another new sport at the continental showpiece and guess what, it features four Indians!
So far, both women - Sugar Shanti Gayen and Kamali Prakash - are done with their first round heats in shortboard.
Sugar Shanti finished last amongst three athletes in heat three with a score of 3.84 while Kamali scored 3.74 in heat 5 which featured one more competitor - Japan’s Mirai Ikeda.
Both Indian women will be back in action later in the day for second-round heats.
Also, the men’s shortboard has two Indians - Kishore Kumar Anbarashu and Sivaraj Babu - who will also be in action in a bit.
