Orlando Pirates take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2026 MTN8 final at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

ORLANDO PIRATES VS SUNDOWNS: THE ROAD TO THE MTN8 FINAL

Orlando Pirates were pitted against Durban City in the MTN8 quarterfinal, and they beat them 2-1 after extra time.

The Sea Robbers then faced Sekhukhune United over two legs in the semifinals, and they beat them 1-0 in the first leg before hammering them 3-0 in the return leg.

Abdeslam Ouaddou’s men advanced to their fifth successive MTN8 final with a 4-0 aggregate win over Sekhukhune United.

Mamelodi Sundowns, on the other hand, faced Polokwane City in the quarterfinals, they recorded a hard-fought 3-2 win after extra time.

The Brazilians would then be drawn against Golden Arrows who stunned them with a 1-0 win in the first leg of the semifinals.

Miguel Cardoso’s charges, however, redeemed themselves with a 2-1 win in the second leg to advance on away-goal rule.
