John Mulaney Joins Druski in ‘SNL’ November Lineup

Translate

After leading the New York Knicks to their first NBA championship in more than half a century, Jalen Brunson will add another accomplishment to his career highlights this fall: Saturday Night Live host.

Brunson is set to host the Sept. 26 season premiere of SNL and will be joined by musical guest KATSEYE. He’s the first athlete to host the show in more than three years (Travis Kelce was the most recent one, in March 2023) and the first active NBA player to take center stage at studio 8H since LeBron James back in 2007.

Dakota Johnson (Oct. 3) and Shane Gillis (Oct. 10) will each host SNL for the third time in the fall. Johnson will be joined musical guest Turnstile, and Rosalia will be the musical guest for Gillis’ episode. SNL then takes a couple weeks off before returning on Halloween with Obsession breakout Inde Navarrette making her debut as host and musical guest Gracie Abrams.

On Nov. 7, comedian and online/social media creator Druski will make his hosting debut (his booking was first reported at Puck). He’s the first person to make the leap from the online creator world to hosting SNL, though Druski has also had several TV, movie and commercial roles and hosted the BET Awards in June. The Strokes will be the musical guest for the episode, the band’s fifth time on the show.

A week later, comedian and former SNL writer John Mulaney will host for the seventh time. Phoebe Bridgers will make her second appearance as musical guest.

The cast of SNL will be fairly stable — at least compared to the sizable overhaul prior to season 51 last year. Chloe Fineman announced her departure from the show in July after seven seasons, and writer and occasional performer Martin Herlihy left after five seasons. The rest of last season’s cast, however, is returning, and Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter are joining the show as featured players.

The full list of hosts and musical guests for season 52 of SNL is below. This story will be updated as more shows are announced.

Sept. 26: Jalen Brunson, KATSEYE
Oct. 3: Dakota Johnson, Turnstile
Oct. 10: Shane Gillis, Rosalia
Oct. 31: Inde Navarrette, Gracie Abrams
Nov. 7: Druski, The Strokes
Nov. 14: John Mulaney, Phoebe Bridgers
