In short:

ACT Policing is investigating after a Canberra massage parlour was allegedly robbed following a car crash.

Authorities say five people were hospitalised in the crash in Weston at about 11:45am on Friday, including three workers.

What's next?

ACT Policing says it is following up on the reported burglary and is investigating the crash.

A Canberra massage parlour was robbed after a car crashed into its shopfront on Friday, the business says.

Authorities say five people were injured in the crash in Weston at about 11:45am, including three workers who became trapped and the vehicle's driver.

For some time, the car remained deep inside the building, which houses Harmony Tree Therapeutic Massage and Day Spa, and sits across from Cooleman Court shopping centre off Brierly Street.

Five people were taken to the Canberra Hospital, two in serious but stable condition, one in stable condition, and another two with minor injuries.

Police said the driver, an 84-year-old woman, was assisting with enquiries.

'Incredibly difficult and stressful'

On Sunday, the massage parlour claimed on social media it had been burgled.

"Unfortunately, after the serious accident at our shop on Friday, when a vehicle crashed into our premises and caused significant damage, we experienced another distressing incident later that same night," the post said.

"Someone broke into our shop and stole a staff member's mobile phone, car keys, house keys, and ATM card, which was used without permission.

"We had tried to retrieve our belongings earlier that day, but unfortunately, they were still locked inside the shop."

The business said it was an "incredibly difficult and stressful time for us and our staff".

"We are doing our best to deal with the damage and get through these challenging circumstances."

ACT Policing confirmed a burglary at the business had been reported to police earlier on Sunday, and it was looking into it.

"As for the collision, that investigation is still underway," a statement from police said.
