Vandals spray-paint Jewish school buses with antisemitic, anti-Zionist graffiti in Williamsburg, NY

Translate

Antisemitic and anti-Zionist graffiti spray-painted onto four Jewish school buses in Williamsburg, New York, on Monday.

Photos shared on social media show the buses covered in antisemitic and anti-Zionist slogans, such as “F*** Israel,” “USA first,” and “Free Palestine.”

The New York Police Department's 90th Precinct, the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force, and Williamsburg Shomrim are working to locate those responsible.

According to local media outlet Williamsburg 365, the buses belonged to the Satmar and Klausenburg hassidic sects, as well as Tiferes Yisroel.

Lincoln Restler, an NYC council member for the community, condemned the incident in a post on X/Twitter.

Antisemitism has no home in New York

"Anti-Semitic graffiti on our community’s school buses is truly obscene," Restler said. "The decade-long rise in anti-Semitic incidents must be stopped."

New York State Assemblyman Kalman Yeger wrote on X that "Globalize the Intifada landed in Williamsburg."

In her own X post, New York Attorney-General Letitia James called the act "despicable."

"Antisemitism and hate have no home in New York," she said. "I urge anyone with information to contact local law enforcement."
