The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) killed a Hamas Nukhba commander who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre in an airstrike in the central Gaza Strip on Friday, the two organizations announced.

Ibrahim Mustafa Suleiman Abu Oweimer, a commander in Hamas's military wing, was struck in the Nuseirat area, according to the joint IDF and ISA statement.

Abu Oweimer infiltrated Israeli territory during the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attack, the statement said.

The IDF and ISA said that Abu Oweimer had recently advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and had worked to restore Hamas's operational capabilities, which they described as a systematic violation of the ceasefire.
