Taskmaster confirms New Year's special lineup – including Bake Off's Alison Hammond

For every New Year episode of Taskmaster, viewers wait with bated breath to see who will be on the panel. And the upcoming special, Taskmaster’s New Year Treat, will not fail to disappoint as five of the most famous faces in British television are set to take part on the show.

Hosted by Greg Davies and little Alex Horne, the festive special is set to include BAFTA nominated TV presenter Alison Hammond, famed for her stint on This Morning and The Great British Bake Off.

And this is closely followed by eighties popstar Chesney Hawkes, broadcaster Francis Bourgois, BBC News presenter Maryam Moshiri and TV personality Rob Rinder.

The quintet will battle it out on the New Year's show to be crowned with the Treat Trophy: the "coveted set of Greg's Golden Eyebrows".

In August this year, Channel 4 confirmed that Taskmaster would be premiering season 22 with a whole new group of celebrities.

Starting in September, viewers watched the efforts of Little Britain star Matt Lucas, comedian Nina Conti, Chloe Petts, Peep Show's Isy Suttie and Bad Guys' Richard Ayoade as they attempt to fulfill the crazy challenges posed to them by the Taskmaster.

However, the grand final is upon us tonight (5 November), and with it, the winner of the show will receive the golden bust of Greg's head.

Followed closely behind them is Conti with 143 points, then Suttie at 135, leaving Lucas and Ayoade at the lower end with 123 and 118, respectively.

And earlier this year, due to the show's huge success in the UK, it was announced that there is to be a Polish version, which is the 14th international version.

Taskmaster series one to 22 is available to stream on ITVX.
