The World’s Hardest ’30 Rock’ Quiz

Translate

How well do you know the goings on at 30 Rock? Take this quiz to find out

Earlier this month, the cast of 30 Rock — including Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, and series creator Tina Fey — celebrated the show’s 20th anniversary with a blowout celebration at Radio City Music Hall that included special guests Conan O’Brien, Jon Hamm, Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Will Forte, and Brian Williams. That may sound a bit over the top for a network sitcom that never generated ratings anywhere near those of Seinfeld, Friends, or other hits from the glory days of Must-See TV, but the event sold out in seconds, and tickets went for absurd prices on the secondary market. That’s because true fans know it’s one of the funniest sitcoms in television history (not to mention one of the most decorated, with nearly 70 awards, from Emmys to Golden Globes and Peabodies, won over its seven-season run). It’s the reason we all say things like “I want to go to there” and “What the what?” While the recent anniversary event — which raised money for the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem — is the closest thing we’re likely to get to a reboot, our 30 Rock quiz will give you another chance to revisit the world of TGS With Tracy Jordan.

Zero to 30 percent: Blerg! Have you actually seen 30 Rock? Did you maybe confuse it with Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip? Don’t fret. Feel happy that you have a much better show to watch about a struggling network sketch-comedy show. So set out a tray of night cheese, get cozy with your most comfortable slanket, and start your binge-watch now.

31 percent to 60 percent: Not bad! You’ve watched the entire series, know the catchphrases and main characters, but you are probably overdue for a rewatch. Did you know, according to The Atlantic, that 30 Rock averages seven jokes per minute? You seem to have missed a few, and this is a perfect chance to catch up.

60 percent to 100 percent: High-five a million angels! You know even the most obscure trivia, like the fact that Pete Hornberger played bass in the band Loverboy and trained in archery for the 1980 Olympics. You’ve looked in bodegas for Sabor de Soledad and probably attempted to write a spec script for Tracy’s movie, Honky Grandma Be Trippin’. Celebrate your knowledge with another rewatch!
