Carolina Hurricanes vs. Philadelphia Flyers: Game Highlights (1:18)

Oct 12, 2026, 01:14 PM ET

The Carolina Hurricanes are keeping receipts.

After a decisive 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday, the Hurricanes' social media team pointed out a statistic that poked at the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies as well.

The Flyers haven't won a game yet this season, the Phillies didn't even make it back home before losing 2-1 to the Atlanta Braves in the wild-card round, and the Eagles are 1-2 at home -- their lone win coming over the Washington Commanders in Week 1.

The Flyers will play the Seattle Kraken at home Tuesday, and the Eagles host the Carolina Panthers this week, so Philly sports fans can hope the sour trend reverses. In addition, the new-look Philadelphia 76ers have four regular-season home games in the month of October.

The Hurricanes, for their part, will not return to the City of Brotherly Love this season.
