Strictly Come Dancing star Delta Goodrem has shared her emotional reaction to fans' support as she gears up to return onto the dance floor after pulling out due to an injury last week.

The singer and Neighbours star appeared on It Takes Two with pro partner Kai Widdrington to discuss their imminent comeback after they were forced to withdraw from the fourth week of the competition after Delta sustained a rib injury.

"I'm very, very grateful to be back. Kai has been so amazing every day, checking in and working together at how we can make this happen and still heal and do the best we can," Delta said.

"Everyone's been so lovely and kind and beautiful, all the messages... I've been going in waves of tears all week! I'm super happy to be here."

Kai gave fans a sneak peek of what they've been cooking for this weekend, as they're set to dance a Rumba to a Celine Dion hit song.

"So we're dancing the Rumba this week which is the slowest of the Latin dances but it's one of the most difficult, especially for the female dance partners. A lot of hips, a lot of legs, a lot of feet. A lot of storytelling as well," Kai said.

Delta added" "I'm extremely excited by the song, one of my favourite songs of all time, 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' by Celine Dion. We've just gotta take this week gently but it's the ballroom, we've gotta go out there and deliver. I'll definitely try my best this week."

She also shared she's been receiving comments about her dancing from her mum in Australia.

"My mum, she's got some good commentary back in Australia. She wasn't thrilled with my arms in the American Smooth," Delta said.

"This week, if I can learn to, I'm a little bit... my walk isn't, im not like [dramatic pose]. It's time for me to work on the power walk and some strong arms."
