De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) suspended classes and work operations at its Manila campus on Thursday as a precautionary measure following a reported threat.
In an advisory, DLS-CSB said the suspension took effect immediately.
“The College's Center for Emergency Management, Safety, and Security (CEMSS) is coordinating closely with law enforcement,” the school said.
“A security sweep of the campus is being conducted, while appropriate safety protocols and precautionary measures are being implemented to help ensure the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff,” it added.
DLS-CSB said that the campus, students, and associates are safe.
The college urged members of the community to remain calm and vigilant.
It also reminded students and personnel to rely only on official college channels for verified information and to refrain from spreading unverified or false information.
