Enugu Air launches direct Enugu-Douala flights

Enugu Air will launch direct international flights between Enugu and Douala, Cameroon, on Wednesday, 23 September, to strengthen regional air connectivity.

The airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Ugonna Agubuokwu, confirmed this in a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos.

Mr Agubuokwu said the new route would bring businesses, families and opportunities in Nigeria and Cameroon closer together.

According to him, the service would operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays.

He said passengers travelling from Lagos and Abuja could connect to Douala through Enugu.

“This is more than the introduction of a new route. It is about creating stronger connections between Nigeria and Cameroon,” he said.

Mr Agubuokwu said the route would make regional travel more accessible, convenient and seamless for passengers.

He said flights from Enugu would depart at 12:45 p.m. and arrive in Douala at 1:45 p.m., while return flights would depart Douala at 2:30 p.m. and arrive in Enugu at 3:30 p.m.

He said the schedule was designed to facilitate convenient connections for passengers originating from Lagos and Abuja.

“Africa is closer than you think for business, opportunity, and for the connections that matter,” he said, adding that the new route would expand Enugu Air’s regional network and provide another air link between southeastern Nigeria and Cameroon.

He said the Enugu-Douala connection was part of the airline’s efforts to make regional travel more seamless and connected.
