5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as Caleb discovers Ruby's ordeal

In tonight's Emmerdale, there's a race against time to save Ruby as Caleb discovers that she's fighting for her life. Will Joe take the ultimate revenge?

Meanwhile, Vinny's confession rocks Nicola – and the backlash is only just beginning.

1. Ruby panics as she starts to run out of time

Ruby wakes up in the coffin, where she's been trapped and buried by Joe. She panics as she realises that there's no escape and she's running out of air.

After fighting to get out, Ruby gradually starts to become weaker…

2. Caleb receives a sinister visit

Caleb wakes up at home after being drugged by Graham, and he finds Joe standing over him.

As Joe taunts him with various clues to Ruby's ordeal, a weakened Caleb tries to find a weapon.

In the end, Joe reveals his terrifying revenge, telling Caleb that he's buried Ruby alive and she won't have much time left…

3. Enter Graham

Graham soon arrives at Mill Cottage to check on proceedings and it's revealed that he didn't know what Joe had planned for Ruby.

Will he back Joe, or will he feel that his boss has gone too far this time? And is there any hope left of Ruby escaping alive?

4. Vinny faces Nicola's fury

Vinny is forced to deal with the consequences after deciding to confess his guilt to Nicola.

Nicola pushes for a full explanation of what happened – and why Vinny has kept quiet for so long.

Not stopping there, Vinny also realises that he'll have to tell Joe the truth before somebody else does...

5. Nicola toys with Gabby

Ross makes an emotional speech at The Woolpack, reflecting on the day that he first met Dawn.

Now aware that Gabby was on the phone to Vinny at the time of the crash and has been covering for him, Nicola maliciously suggests that she should be next to say a few words…
