WestEnd Films has boarded world sales on Woody Allen’s new feature, which is set to begin shooting in Madrid on Oct. 5.

Written and directed by Allen, the contemporary comedy will star Marton Csokas (“The Lord of the Rings,” “The Equalizer”), Jemima Kirke (“Girls,” “Sex Education”), Jakob Oftebro (“Hamilton,” “Kon-Tiki”), Peter Vives (“The Time in Between,” “Velvet”) and Alexi Wasser (“Messy,” “Girls”).

Principal photography will take place in the city and region of Madrid. The project, which will be shot in English, will be Allen’s third production shot in Spain after “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” (2008) and “Rifkin’s Festival” (2020).

Madrid-based Wanda Vision and Allen’s production banner, Gravier Productions, are producing the title alongside 3SIX9 Studios.

The creative team includes José Luis Alcaine, Sonia Grande and Alain Bainée.

“I will be very happy to return to Spain. This will be my third time filming there and my first opportunity to make a film in Madrid, a city I have always loved.” said Allen.

WestEnd Films will introduce the film to international buyers at the upcoming American Film Market.
