Selena Gomez Reveals If She and Benny Blanco Still Surprise Each Other After One Year of Marriage
We gotta catch our breath after Selena Gomez’s ‘fit check.
The Only Murders in the Building actress made a hilarious nod to her previous relationship with Nick Jonas while highlighting her hot—not cold—outfit.
In an Oct. 15 TikTok video, Selena perfectly timed her outfit reveal to audio of the Jonas Brothers’ 2008 hit “Burnin’ Up,” showing her red high heels, as the band sang “High heels.” And, of course, as the camera panned up to her shimmering strapless red dress, she lipsynched Nick’s iconic “Red dress” ad lib, before she fell so fast into laughter.
In the caption, the Wizards of Waverly Place alum simply wrote, “Feeling nostalgic.”
Selena and Nick dated between 2008 and 2010 while the pair were both starring in separate series on Disney Channel.
And who says there’s only room for one power couple in the family? After all, Selena and Nick’s romance overlapped with Taylor Swift’s brief relationship with Joe Jonas in 2008, which is what led to Selena and Taylor’s friendship.
“Taylor and I dated the Jonas Brothers!” Selena said on an August 2025 episode of the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast. “I dated Nick, and she dated Joe.”
“We didn’t know what we were doing,” she added. “But yeah, she and I like to say that the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other.”
And since their respective splits with the JoBros, Selena noted the crew’s friendships haven’t slipped into the lava.

“We all know and love each other now,” she confirmed, “and it’s so cute.”
And while it ain’t Nick who Selena wound up with, she recently shared she is “still in the honeymoon stage” after tying the knot with husband Benny Blanco in September 2025.
“It just feels so wonderful to have a partner that actually genuinely listens and just meets you right where you are,” she told People last month, “whatever that mood or day looks like, and that’s all I could ask for. I just need him, and I love him, so it’s pretty great.”

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco began dating in July 2023, around Selena's birthday, Benny said on the Howard Stern Show in May 2024.
But they only began to spark romance rumors in late 2023. That December, Selena confirmed the speculation, commenting on a fan page's Instagram post, regarding Benny, "He is my absolute everything in my heart."
She continued, "Why has he been the best thing that's ever happened to me. He's still better than anyone I've ever been with."
