Gerry Cardinale was moved to tears after Milan’s 3-1 derby win over Inter at San Siro on Saturday night.
The Milan owner had said on Friday he would be “devastated” by a defeat. Instead, Diego Moreira set up Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot inside the first 10 minutes. After Alessandro Bastoni pulled one back, Moreira sealed the win with a free kick, and Mike Maignan kept Inter out at the other end.
Cardinale was clearly emotional in footage filmed at San Siro after the final whistle.

Milan owner Cardinale: ‘We’re gonna build on this’
“What a night! How about it? What do you think? What do you think of the boys?” he said. “Every three days playing a game, going through the injuries, we get our full team back and look at those guys. Those guys are winners.
“It brings tears to my eyes, it’s great. The best night. And we’re gonna build on this!”
The win lifted Rúben Amorim’s side to 21 points, four behind Inter and Lazio, and bounced back from Wednesday’s home defeat to Bologna. It was Inter’s first league defeat of the season, and the Nerazzurri have now gone eight derbies without a win.
