Eisenkot's security to be placed in charge of private company, in coordination with Shin Bet
The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) will oversee Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot's security starting Sunday, according to an announcement from the party.
"Starting tomorrow morning, Sunday, party chairman Gadi Eisenkot will be secured by a private security company that will be directly instructed and operated by Unit 730 of the Shin Bet," the announcement said.
The announcement came after the Shin Bet chief David Zini ruled in August that Eisenkot did not meet the requirements needed to qualify for the elite Unit 730 protection.
