Translate

The Institute of Capital Market Registrars said its 15th Annual Conference will focus on building capital market resilience and driving sustainable growth beyond ongoing recapitalisation efforts.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by the President and Chairman of Council, ICMR, Mrs Catherine Nwosu, the conference will explore the theme ‘Beyond Recapitalisation: Building Resilient Institutions and a Sustainable Capital Market.’

The Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Mr Bismarck Rewane, is expected to deliver the keynote address, offering critical insights into strengthening institutional capacity and fostering long-term market growth.

Scheduled for 14 November, the event will also feature the investiture of Fellows and the induction of new members into the institute

The statement noted that the one-day event will converge key industry leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on emerging market opportunities, innovation, institutional strength, and overall capital market development.

It added that the investiture and induction ceremonies will reaffirm the institute’s commitment to high professional standards, ethics, and continuous capacity building.

The gathering also aims to foster strategic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking while highlighting the pivotal role registrars play in bolstering investor confidence, promoting market integrity, and advancing a resilient Nigerian capital market.

A major highlight of the conference will be a panel session focused on “Recapitalisation as a Catalyst for Institutional Resilience & Governance Reforms for Sustainable Growth.”

The session will feature key industry figures, including CSCS CEO Shehu Shantali, ICMR First Vice President Dr Kamal Okunola, CIS President Dr Fiona Ahimie and NGX CEO Jude Chiemeke, among other market operators.
