Maria Shriver Shares Rare Photos of Her, Ex Arnold Schwarzenegger's Son Christopher Schwarzenegger

For Maria Shriver, her son Christopher Schwarzenegger will always be her "baby."

The journalist—who also shares kids Katherine Schwarzenegger, 36, Christina Schwarzenegger, 35, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, 33, with ex-husband Arnold Schwarzenegger—marked her youngest's 29th birthday on Sept. 27 with a series of rarely-seen family photos.

Shriver, 70, posted pictures of Christopher throughout the years on Instagram, including photos from his childhood as well as images of him before and after his 30-pound weight loss. 

"Happy birthday to this wonderful, kind, loving, caring, fun, funny, wise young man," she wrote in the caption. "You may be my baby, but I will always look up to you. I admire the way you walk in the world. I admire the way you make people feel. I admire the way you look for the good in everyone."

"God blessed me when he made me your mother, and you bless everybody’s life that you walk into," Shriver continued. "Know you are loved, and I love you!"

Christopher's sister Katherine also shared her own birthday tribute, posting images of their sweet family moments together. One snapshot showed Katherine's husband Chris Pratt smiling with her brother at what looked like a wedding reception, while Christopher was pictured posing with the one of the couple's daughters during a family ski trip.

"Happy birthday to the greatest of all baby brother Christopher!" Katherine captioned. "You’re the best. I love you tons."

Unlike his parents and many of his siblings, Christopher has opted to keep his life out of spotlight. In fact, he primarily works behind the camera, serving as the Director of Development for production company Indus Valley Media.

And that's all because, according to Katherine, their parents have raised them to "be our own people and have our own identity and kind of choose to step into whatever form of being public we wanted to when we felt comfortable."

“One of the greatest gifts that my parents ever gave me and my siblings is the gift of privacy and having a really normal upbringing, or as normal of an upbringing as possible," she told Elle in 2021. "We had a really normal and magical childhood."
