Nigeria’s gas turned into working assets

Nigeria holds one of Africa’s largest natural gas resources. The opportunity is not simply to possess it, but to transform it into infrastructure that powers industries, moves people and goods, supports cleaner energy solutions and creates economic value.
The Midstream & Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF) is helping bridge that gap by deploying catalytic capital into commercially viable gas infrastructure, from CNG and LCNG stations to gas processing plants, pipelines, LNG facilities and LPG storage.
In under two years since its first Final Investment Decisions, MDGIF has approved an estimated ₦671 billion in FIDs, catalysed ₦1.6 trillion in total investments, and built a portfolio spanning 31 projects and 205 infrastructure assets.
This is what unlocking Africa’s energy potential looks like: mobilising capital, de-risking viable projects and converting natural resources into productive assets that can serve businesses, communities and economies.
Nigeria’s gas. African opportunity. Infrastructure built for growth.
