All Things Go & Global Citizen Cancel 2026 Festivals Due to ‘Severe Weather Conditions’ in New York

Two festivals in New York have been canceled due to severe weather conditions, with both All Things Go and Global Citizen announcing Friday (Sept. 25) that the 2026 events will not continue as planned.

Both festivals broke the news to ticketholders with posts on social media. ”After consultation with local officials, Forest Hills Stadium, and trusted weather advisors, we have made the difficult decision to cancel All Things Go NYC on September 25, 26 and 27 at Forest Hills Stadium due to severe weather conditions in the New York Metro area throughout the weekend, including high winds,” read a statement on the ATG Instagram.

“The safety of our fans, the artists and local crew is our top priority,” it continued. “We don’t really know how to put into words how heartbroken we are. Thank you for understanding, and thank you to the fans, artists, and crews who make this festival what it is.”

MUNA, Zara Larsson, Hayley Williams, Mitski, Lola Young and more were scheduled to perform during the three-day festival. Lauren Hill and Wyclef Jean, Shaboozey, TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Alicia Keys were slated to play sets at this year’s Global Citizen, which wrote on Friday, “due to the extreme weather forecast for New York City this weekend, we have made the difficult decision, in consultation with the City of New York and NYC Parks, to cancel this year’s Global Citizen Festival.”

“Forecasts predict dangerous conditions and circumstances in which we cannot safely bring tens of thousands of Global Citizens, artists, crew, vendors, partners, and staff onto the Great Lawn, let alone all of the equipment required,” the charitable organization’s message continued. “Safety has to come first. This is the first time in 14 years we’ve had to cancel. We have spent this week working through countless contingencies, which were ultimately not possible, and cancelling is a decision we have not taken lightly.”

Both festivals stressed that refunds will be processed automatically for those who had tickets.

The news comes as the latest development in York’s preparations for the storms ahead, which have been described as a nor’easter. Mayor Zohran Mamdani warned on X Wednesday (Sept. 23), “We should still prepare for gusty winds, rain, and some high-tide flooding beginning today, peaking Friday, and potentially continuing through Sunday,” he wrote. “If you live near the coast, move your car to higher ground or away from streets that regularly flood. Secure loose outdoor items, including furniture and garbage containers, that could be picked up by strong winds. Storm tracks can change, so please stay informed and be prepared.”

In an X message Friday, the mayor informed citizens that the weather would be more severe than initially expected: “The storm’s expected path has shifted closer to our city, bringing heavier rain and stronger winds.”
