Heavy rains expected in parts of Luzon, including NCR Tuesday afternoon

MANILA, Philippines — Heavy to intense rains may hit parts of Metro Manila and Luzon due to localized thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon, according to the state weather bureau.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:55 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that heavy to intense rains with lightning and strongwinds may affect the following areas within the next two hours.

  • Metro Manila (Muntinlupa and Las Pinas)
  • Batangas (Tuy, Balayan, Calatagan, Tanauan, Malvar, Balete, Mataasnakahoy, Santo Tomas, San Jose, Batangas City, Taysan, Lobo, Ibaan, and Cuenca)
  • Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad, San Miguel, and Hagonoy)
  • Cavite (Ternate, Maragondon, Magallanes, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Alfonso, Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, Cavite City, Dasmarinas, Carmona, and Gen. Mariano Alvarez)
