Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has retained the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff and Chief Press Secretary in his second term.

The governor announced the appointments on Friday night, hours after he was sworn in for another four-year term following his re-election in the June 20 governorship election.

In a statement, the Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode, said the appointments took immediate effect.

“Following his inauguration for a second term of office, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Oyebanji, has approved the appointments of Prof. Habibat Adubiaro as Secretary to the State Government; Mr Oyeniyi Adebayo as Chief of Staff to the Governor; and Mr Olayinka Oyebode as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,” the statement read.

The three officials held the same positions during Oyebanji’s first term.

The reappointments follow the dissolution of the State Executive Council on October 12 as part of the administrative process of winding down the governor’s first term.
