In Wednesday's episode, Ruby decides that Sadie deserves another chance, even though she's public enemy number one in the village after her nasty lies about the late Jimmy King.

Ruby gives Sadie a job in her wine business, believing that she's an ideal person to take the venture to the next level.

Sadie promises to be the perfect employee, but in reality, she can't wait to become a cuckoo in the nest by spending more time at Mill Cottage.

A new spoiler clip shows Caleb visibly unhappy when he sees Sadie in his home. When Ruby fights her supposed friend's corner, Caleb agrees to give Sadie one last chance. Not a wise move…

This week's episodes see Joe ask Sadie to spy on Caleb and Ruby, hoping she'll find evidence that he can use to destroy them.

Sadie then proposes an alternative, as she reckons she can wreck their marriage by seducing Caleb.

Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper recently told us: "We've now got a really dangerous combination, with Joe and Sadie joining forces and this partnership.

"Joe alone is already enough of a threat, but when you put him with Sadie, the Miligans have really got a duo there who'll set fireworks off into their life and marriage! That story is going to evolve in the coming weeks and months…"

She added: "Caleb and Ruby are a fantastic, dynamic couple. We've tested them so much that they're pretty unbreakable for me!

"But this is Sadie King, and she gets what she wants. It will be really interesting to see whether they can withstand what Sadie and Joe are going to throw their way. There are fireworks ahead for that character group."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
