Frustrated Endrick still wanted by Roma and Milan for Real Madrid loan

Roma and Milan could try again in January to take Endrick on loan from Real Madrid after Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti complained he ‘needs playing time to develop.’

The two Serie A sides had already made an approach over the summer, hoping to replicate the vision that the Merengues had when loaning Franco Mastantuono to Fiorentina.

Jose Mourinho was adamant that the 20-year-old would be given plenty of opportunities to shine, but so far that hasn’t panned out.

There was only one four-minute cameo appearance so far this season in the 3-2 victory over Elche, remaining on the bench for three fixtures, and injured for another four.

It is a situation that has frustrated former Milan coach Ancelotti, now in charge of the Brazil national team.

Ancelotti pushing Endrick to Serie A

“The problem for Brazilian kids is they don’t improve because they don’t play regularly,” he said in a press conference.

“It happens to Endrick, but also talents like Estevao, they go to Europe at age 18 or 19 for big clubs and don’t find space. Without playing, they cannot develop.

“We have some very young and promising talents, and Endrick will become important for Brazil in future, but they need to play.”

Endrick had already run out of patience and went on loan to Olympique Marseille in January 2026, scoring eight goals with eight assists in only 21 competitive appearances.

Roma and Milan hope that they can convince the player and Real Madrid to let him try again mid-season, but this time in Serie A.
