#SHOWBIZ: HK star Jessica Hsuan on mortality: 'If I leave tomorrow, I'm okay'

HONG KONG: Veteran actress Jessica Hsuan has opened up about her pragmatic perspective on mortality, revealing that she would have no regrets if her life were to end tomorrow.

According to AsiaOne, the 56-year-old Hong Kong star shared her open-minded approach to life and death, an outlook shaped by the loss of loved ones over the years, including her pet dogs and her nonagenarian father. She reflected that she regularly asks herself if she would be at peace if she were to pass away suddenly, to which her answer is a clear yes because she feels she has already accomplished everything she set out to do.

Her father, who was in his 90s, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home.

Although his sudden departure initially caught her off guard, Hsuan found comfort after shifting her perspective, viewing his gentle exit as a true blessing.

She expressed hope for a similarly peaceful passing for herself, noting that her father lived a full, high-quality life and imparted invaluable lessons to his family throughout his years.

Guided by a philosophy of contentment, Hsuan believes in treasuring the present moment and maintaining a clear conscience, cautioning against getting overly attached to worldly possessions that can be taken away at any time.
