KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened slightly higher today as weaker-than-expected US jobs data reduced expectations of a US Federal Reserve interest rate hike.

The FBM KLCI gained 2.55 points to open at 1,633.42.

The index is expected to hover between 1,625 and 1,635, with bargain hunting offering some support amid a cautious market tone.

In the crypto market, Bitcoin rebounded to RM354,138, while Ethereum rose to RM11,131.
