The Inuit founders of the Iqaluit-based production company Red Marrow Media, MacDonald and Arnaquq-Baril created and showrun Netflix’s Arctic half-hour comedy series North of North, which within weeks of its global debut, reached the Top 10 in 33 countries. The show currently sits at 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and returns for its second season on November 5.

North of North was nominated for Best New Scripted Series at the 41st Film Independent Spirit Awards and led the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards, with an all-time record-tying 20 nominations across TV categories. The series took home multiple awards, including Best Comedy and Best Comedy Writing for Arnaquq-Baril and MacDonald.
