Beat Luke Littler: The Nuke hints at sequel event as emotional Fallon Sherrock claims huge Netflix prize

The darts phenom Littler teamed up with Netflix on Friday night to put on a one-of-a-kind darts event, where 20 non-professional players were all given a chance to beat the champion for a shot at the jackpot.

Littler survived some 14 rounds before coming up against Sherrock, who won the bull and made no mistake as she put the Nuke to the sword.

She was then joined on stage by her young son as celebrations began amidst pouring golden confetti, before the influencer Angry Ginge and Barry Hearn presented her with a golden trophy and a sizeable check.

“It’s insane,” said a stunned Sherrock afterwards. “I can’t put it into words, how much this means, especially having (my son) Rory here.

“It is the first time he has been to anything and he’s seen me win. It was lovely. I’m lost for words right now.

“It is a great moment, man. I’ll memorise this forever. Give me an opportunity and I’m gonna take it, every time. I’m really proud of myself right now.”

Sherrock, nicknamed ‘Queen of the Palace’, hails from Milton Keynes and was comfortably the highest-profile player in the amateur pool facing Littler. She is ranked as the women’s world No3 and has won 21 PDC titles.

Littler, who promised to donate the £501,000 to charity had he won it, was magnanimous in defeat as he applauded Sherrock’s no-nonsense finish.

He told event host Gary Lineker: “Brilliant. That’s what one person had to do: win the bull and go out in 15, and that is exactly what Fallon did.

“When she missed the first going tops, I was like ‘give me a chance’ but she didn’t. World-class.”

In closing, he hinted a second ‘Beat Luke Littler’ could be staged in 2027: “I’ve enjoyed every bit of this. Everything leading up to this has been good. Maybe, Netflix, we can do it again next year.”
