‘Dancing With The Stars’ & ‘R.J. Decker’ Premieres Grow In Delayed Multi-Platform Viewing

ABC‘s sophomore drama R.J. Decker is taking advantage of its new Dancing With the Stars lead-in and the extra promotion that comes with it, putting the crime series starring Scott Speedman on the radar of audiences that may not have watched the first season last spring.
R.J. Decker, which was on the bubble for renewal, drew a total cross-platform audience of 9.61 million, based on viewing over seven days across Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and one encore on ABC.
The Season 2 premiere also scored the show’s best streaming performance since R.J. Decker‘s second episode of Season 1 last spring (3/10/26) over seven days, with curiosity around the show also lifting the pilot episode to its biggest week of streaming in nearly five months.
Dancing with the Stars remains in positive territory season to season despite tough comparisons to the highly rated 2025 installment of the popular reality franchise. The Season 35 Tuesday premiere is running up +17% over last season’s debut (9.98 million vs. 8.50 million) and +47% over the show’s initial Live+Same Day audience (vs. 6.77 million) over seven days on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms.
Defying its age, Dancing has now grown each season since returning to ABC in 2023 both in Live+ Same Day and MP7.
