Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham all continue to work on new signings after the close of the summer window. Arsenal still have the likes of Julian Alvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi firmly in their sights, while they are also said to be targeting Nico Paz and Kenan Yildiz, in addition to scouting both Lucien Agoume and Kike Salas. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta is believed to be very close to finalising a contract extension with the Gunners.
Martin Zubimendi may push to leave Arsenal amid interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea, who could move for Barcelona’s Marc Bernal in January as a replacement for Enzo Fernandez as they also eye Tomas Aranda. Manchester United have been handed a new boost over Lewis Hall as they also watch Nicolo Tresoldi. Liverpool considered rivalling Chelsea for Marco Palestra and could now battle the Blues for both Lamine Camara and Manu Kone.
Richarlison is reportedly seeking to cancel his Tottenham contract and is keen on a return to his native Brazil amid interest from Vasco da Gama. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Chelsea eye Martin Zubimendi after Arsenal twist
While Mikel Arteta is set to extend his stay at Arsenal, one player who could be leaving in the New Year is Martin Zubimendi.
The Spain midfielder only arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Real Sociedad last summer in a £60m deal having previously snubbed Liverpool, playing a key role in the Gunners’ title success.
However, he was linked with a move away from north London over the summer, with Chelsea and Real Madrid both said to be interested in his services.
TEAMtalk now report that Zubimendi would push to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window if he does not win back a regular place in Arteta’s starting XI.
They say that Chelsea and Real Madrid both remain very keen on the player, who has a lot of interest from elsewhere including Saudi Arabia.

Manchester United fans issue Patrick Dorgu left-back verdict
Manchester United supporters were saying the same thing about Patrick Dorgu after the 4-0 win over Sabah.
Dorgu made his first start for Man United since the opening weekend of the season - when he was hauled off at half-time in the loss to Hull City - benefitting from the absence of Luke Shaw.
Since arriving in from Leece for £25million in the 2025 winter transfer window, Dorgu has largely operated as a wing-back and, particularly under Michael Carrick, as a left winger.
However, with Shaw rested ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby, Dorgu started at left-back as Man Utd enjoyed the perfect return to the Champions League after two seasons away.

Tottenham transfer error exposed as De Zerbi faces dilemma
Mykhailo Mudryk’s ankle injury has brought the chaotic final few days of Tottenham’s summer transfer window into perspective, writes Sam Tabuteau.
The Ukrainian winger, signed on a season-long loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day, is set to be out for between six to eight weeks after sustaining a problem with his left ankle in training.
With Mudryk sidelined until after the international break, Spurs are once again short of cover in attack, having also belatedly sent academy winger Mikey Moore on loan to Bundesliga side Cologne.
The timing could not be much worse for Roberto De Zerbi, who is in need of fresh attacking impetus following his side’s drab 0-0 draw away to Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Richarlison gives green light to Vasco da Gama move
Vasco da Gama are reportedly in talks with Tottenham over a deal for Richarlison.
A return to his native Brazil now looks to be one of the only remaining options for the former Everton star as he seeks to exit Spurs, having seen a proposed switch to Turkish club Trabzonspor - where he would have linked up with Mohamed Salah - collapse last week.
According to transfer specialist Nicolo Schira, Richarlison has already given the green light to a potential move to Vasco da Gama as talks continue ahead of the Brazilian transfer deadline on Friday.

Pochettino makes major Tottenham revelation and drops return hint
Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he was approached to take the Tottenham job last season as the club fought to stay in the Premier League, writes Sam Tabuteau.
Spurs sacked manager Thomas Frank in February after a miserable run of results left them hovering around the relegation zone, then replaced him with interim boss Igor Tudor, who failed to win any of his five league games at the helm.
By the end of March, Tottenham were just one point above the bottom three and in serious danger of dropping into the second division of English football for the first time in nearly 50 years.

Chelsea plot new Manu Kone move
Chelsea look set to revive their interest in Manu Kone in January, reports claim.
The Blues wanted to sign the France international last week as they searched for a late replacement for the Manchester City-bound Enzo Fernandez, but were unable to tempt Roma into a sale and later saw Monaco pull the plug at the 11th hour on a £47m Deadline Day swoop for Lamine Camara.
Liverpool and Manchester United are also now said to be interested in Kone, but CaughtOffside - via Simon Phillips - report that Chelsea are likely to go back in for the midfielder when the transfer window reopens for business in the New Year.
It is claimed that Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens could yet form part of the deal, with Roma having pursued his signature late in the summer market.

The Italian-born German Under-21 international scored a penalty in a 3-2 league phase defeat at Jan Breydel Stadium.
