Suspended police deputy national commissioner Shadrack Sibiya, 59, allegedly liked a sexually explicit video a 16-year-old girl sent him of herself, told her that it was “hot”, and said that he wanted “more”, the Randburg Magistrate’s Court heard on Thursday.
The investigating officer told the court the information was contained in the teen’s affidavit.
Sibiya is applying for bail after his arrest on charges that include rape, sexual grooming of a child and trafficking in persons.
The officer, who could only be identified as Sergeant Ndlovu, told the court that during a 51-minute WhatsApp call, Sibiya asked the girl whether she was sexually active, told her she should not date anyone, and said she should allow him “only to have her for himself”.
“He informed her not to tell anyone about their communications and further asked her to send him videos of herself masturbating,” Ndlovu told the court.
Ndlovu further testified that Sibiya had also sent the 16-year-old girl more than 10 naked photographs of herself, which he had received earlier.
It included photographs of her private parts, which she had taken and stored on her cellphone.
“She had never sent these photos to anyone. Whosoever got hold of them did so illegally,” Ndlovu told the court.
