Jim Davidson is understood to have called off his wedding to his younger fiancée after boozy rows as she struggled to cope with his strong personality.

Jim, 72, and his ex Natasha, 49, had already split up several times following explosive arguments and were even forced to cut one holiday short last year after a fallout.

Guests at the Coral Reef Hotel in Barbados witnessed a row when they were holidaying there together last year which resulted in Natasha 'storming out' and Jim wrote on social media that they cut the holiday short due to 'personal s**t'

The TV presenter has said Natasha had issues with his drinking and he criticised women of menopausal age on social media, saying they could act 'a bit crazy'.

Insiders say the couple – who are said to both have tempers – would get into arguments and Natasha would 'call his bluff' on breaking-up, but Jim has now decided it would be best for them to separate.

Jim lavished Natasha with 'whatever she wanted' during their relationship, but recognised he has made mistakes before and no doubt didn't want another costly split, after previously racking up £60million in divorce bills.

While Jim is apparently holding firm on his decision to split from Natasha, friends of the couple have said that he is 'heartbroken' because he was smitten with her.

A source close to the situation told the Daily Mail: 'Natasha didn't cope with his strong personality and if he didn't agree with something it would turn into a big drama.'

'A year ago they were at Coral Reef Hotel in Barbados and a lot of guests there saw her storm out, it was very explosive and there were lots of rows. She had a temper and would storm out, but he had one too.'

The insider continued: 'The split has saved him money because they had planned a huge celebrity wedding and he's the most generous person in the world to his women and anything Natasha wanted he would get.'

While he knows it is for the best, Jim is still said to be struggling with their split and friends around him are concerned.

They added: 'They have split several times before but Jim was totally in love with her, totally smitten. Friends are worried about him as he is heartbroken and would have done anything for Tash. He named his boat after her and took her around the world.'

'Jim who is in his seventies now and he's said look I've made mistakes before and this isn't working and I think she keeps calling his bluff but he's said this time he's not coming back. This time it's for good.'

Earlier this week, Jim revealed he has called off his sixth wedding after previously racking up £60million in divorce costs.

Earlier this week, Jim revealed he has called off his sixth wedding after previously racking up £60million in divorce costs

He was due to marry at Hampton Court Palace last year and lost his £10,000 deposit when he cancelled the wedding.

Jim has previously been married five times and the venue was a nod to his many relationships, due to it being the former home of King Henry VIII and his six wives.

While he had plans to marry for a sixth time like the Tudor King, Jim has said the wedding is off but there is 'no bad blood' between them.

He told The Sun: 'Natasha is the most caring and dutiful person. It's not like we're splitting up because we don't love each other anymore.

'It's a sort of a grown-up separation. The timing's not right because she has so much time for everybody and how can you knock that?'

The former Big Break host struck up a new romance with Natasha early in 2024 after splitting from his wife of 14 years, Michelle Cotton.

Jim attended Nigel Farage's 60th birthday party at Boisdale's in Canary Wharf with Natasha on his arm, he was telling everyone he can't wait to walk down the aisle.

He said he was 'completely smitten with her and finally believes he has found 'the one,' urging his pals to 'tell her she should marry me'.

The father of five even renamed his £350,000 yacht – previously called Princess Mitchie after his ex-wife  – Lady Natasha.

Jim also took to the stage at the party where he couldn't stop gushing about his new love who works as a freelance assistant with him on his ustreme.com channel.

He said: 'I've just got my divorce through and I'm here with my new girlfriend,' joking about how many wives he has had and saying he has room for another.

Lizzie Cundy shared a rare photo of the happy couple on Instagram, alongside Michael Jackson's former bodyguard Matt Fiddes.

Jim has said he has already sold the Georgian cottage in Stockbridge, Hampshire, that he and Michelle shared and is ready for a 'new chapter'.

He claimed he is still on good terms with Michelle, whom he wed in 2009, and will continue to visit his ex-wife, although he is too sad to see the dogs they once shared.

'There you go, the divorce came through today, so it's done. I'm divorced again, my fifth divorce,' he said in an interview posted on his streaming platform, Ustreme.

'The house has been sold and that will be going through in March, fingers crossed. It's a new chapter for all of us.'

He added: 'I've spoken to Michelle today and wished her the best of luck. I've arranged to take some stuff and pick up some bits and pieces.

'She said I was welcome around there any time. I said I was only going to do it if the dogs weren't there so I've asked that if I call up to go round that she take the dogs for a walk because I don't want to heap anymore sadness on the situation.'

The comic announced his split from Michelle in April 2023 after two decades as a couple and was said to be devastated that they couldn't work it out.

His first marriage was to childhood sweetheart Sue Walpole in 1971 and they had daughter Sarah Walpole-Davidson, now 51, before divorcing a year later.

He married Julie Gullick, with whom he had son Cameron, 41, in 1981 and they went on to divorce five years later in 1986.

Just one year later he walked down the aisle with journalist and TV presenter Alison Holloway but their marriage lasted less than two years.

His fourth marriage in 1990 – to former Page 3 model Tracy Hilton – lasted for a decade. The couple had three children together: Charlie, 34, Fred, 32 and Elsie, 31.
