QCPD relieves police clearance chief amid probe into service disruption

MANILA, Philippines—The chief of the Quezon City’s Police District (QCPD) Police Clearance has been relieved from his post pending an investigation into reports of an alleged disruption in police clearance services at Quezon City Hall.
“Pending the outcome of the investigation, the Chief of the Police Clearance Section shall be relieved from the current assignment as an administrative measure, without prejudice to the determination of any administrative liability,” said the QCPD in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement comes after a complaint alleging that personnel were celebrating a birthday in the office, instead of assisting applicants.
