UCL Roundup: Lookman scores as Atletico beat Man United, Osimhen falls to Barca

Ademola Lookman scored nine minutes after coming off the bench as Atlético Madrid defeated Manchester United 2-0, while Victor Osimhen played the full 90 minutes in Galatasaray’s 4-1 home defeat to Barcelona in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League action.
Lookman seals Atlético victory
Atlético took the lead after just 53 seconds when Pablo Barrios converted Alex Baena’s cutback.
Manchester United threatened through Bryan Mbeumo, but goalkeeper Jan Oblak made key saves to keep the visitors out. Alejandro Grimaldo also came close for Atlético, striking the angle of the post and crossbar with a free-kick.
Johnny Cardoso thought he had doubled Atlético’s lead, but his goal was ruled out after a VAR review found a handball by Marcos Llorente in the build-up.
Introduced in the 70th minute, Lookman struck in the 79th to seal the victory for Atlético, who claimed their first points of the league phase and extended their unbeaten run against United to five matches.
Barcelona punish Galatasaray
At Rams Park, Galatasaray took a surprise lead in the 28th minute when Aleksey Batrakov’s shot deflected off João Cancelo and into the net.

Osimhen played the full match but couldn’t prevent Galatasaray from suffering a heavy home defeat. The result extended Barcelona’s winning run across all competitions to 10 matches.
