Dolly Parton Tribute By Kacey Musgraves Set For Sunday’s VMAs
Kacey Musgraves will pay tribute to Dolly Parton at Sunday’s VMAs.
It will mark Musgraves’ first performance at the VMAs in five years. With three VMA career nods, the singer-songwriter is nominated this year in Best Country for “Dry Spell.”
It will be the latest in a long line of tributes to Parton, who died following a brief battle with cancer on August 25. She was 80.
Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the VMAs will air Sunday, Sept. 27(7:30-9:30 PM, ET/4:30-6:30 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network, simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ (Premium) in the U.S. The show will also be available globally next day on Paramount+ and MTV.
The VMAs are produced by Gunpowder & Sky. Van Toffler serves as producer. Jesse Ignjatovic of Den of Thieves, Barb Bialkowski and Bruce Gillmer serve as executive producers alongside Barry Barclay and Floris Bauer.
