NFF To Celebrate Simon’s 100th Super Eagles Appearance

Moses Simon is set to receive a special honour from the Nigeria Football Federation ,NFF, if he makes his 100th appearance for the Super Eagles against Madagascar in Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture.

Simon, who made his international debut in March 2015 against Uganda in a friendly, has established himself as one of Nigeria’s experienced players over the past decade.

The Paris FC winger replaced Anthony Ujah in the 59th minute of that encounter to begin his international career.

Now 31, Simon has made 99 appearances for the three-time African champions, comprising 64 competitive matches and 35 friendlies.

He has featured 23 times at the Africa Cup of Nations finals and has also made 22 appearances in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.

With 11 goals to his name, Simon is on the verge of joining the exclusive group of Nigerian players to reach the 100-cap mark.

A 100th appearance against Madagascar on Friday would provide the winger with another significant milestone in his international career, with the NFF set to mark the occasion.
