‘South Park’ Season 29 Premiere Embraces ‘South America’ Name Change With New Theme Song And a Trump Cameo

South Park” — or rather “South America” — made its Season 29 debut Wednesday night and wasted no time introducing audiences to the newly named town.

The episode, titled “South American Biker Gangs,” kicked off with an updated theme song ringing in the name change — “I’m goin’ down to South America, have myself a time!” — before showing another new addition: a Donald Trump cameo.

The premiere episode centered around the usual suspects, Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny, and their newfound love of e-bikes. But when the gaggle of kids takes to the streets with their motorized bikes, the parents of South America form their own biker gang in opposition.

As per usual, Kenny dies when his e-bike blows up, and his death unites the town to come together, outlaw e-bikes, and begin selling “South America Strong” T-shirts.

Earlier this month, ahead of the Season 29 premiere, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced that the long-running comedy series would furthermore be known as “South America,” a comedic jab at Trump’s recent moves to rename the likes of Lake Ontario as Lake America, New Mexico as New America and the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

“Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of ‘South Park’ to ‘South America,’” the pair shared in a statement. “We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount — a Skydance Capitulation.”

The show took home the gold for outstanding animated program at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys, and while celebrating the win, threw another dig at Trump by sharing a graphic of the president with his pants and underwear around his ankles to the official “South Park” X account.

The moves are a continuation of the show’s Season 28 political antics, which included plot points like JD Vance seducing Donald Trump in order to dodge punishment for trying to kill his unborn baby with Satan and Pete Hegseth trying to bust Peter Thiel out of jail.
